Just as I am a reader who does not read anything in particular, I became a writer who writes nothing in particular. I edit my sisters’ essays to sound professional and help my friends write love letters cheesier. I spend too much effort writing an email and I compose gratitude notes I’ll send to no one. I avidly adore song lyrics and seem to cry when I catch life-like intricacies in fiction. The only poetry I read is in its dissection and when I watch a film I watch it twice, to revel in its execution after the experience.
